The director was reportedly adamant that only Singh’s signature melancholic depth could adequately capture the complex, emotional journey of the film’s central protagonist, Shivam Pandit. It was this specific artistic challenge, combined with deep-rooted industry ties, that ultimately convinced the vocalist to reverse his earlier decision.
Vishesh Films and Arijit Singh share a long, highly decorated history of musical excellence that has defined a generation of Hindi cinema soundtracks. Their collaborative programme began over a decade ago with the hit track ‘Phir Mohabbat’ from the thriller Murder 2.
