All uncertainties surrounding the highly anticipated arrival of the acclaimed Indian singer, lyricist, and composer Anupam Roy have finally been cleared. Following a sudden postponement that left thousands of fans disappointed, a fresh date has officially been confirmed for his performance in the capital. The deeply awaited concert, titled “One True Sound”, is now scheduled to take place on 1 August at the United Convention Centre in Dhaka.

The musical event was originally planned to take place at the exact same venue on 26 June, with all structural and logistical arrangements fully in place. However, unavoidable circumstances forced the organisers to suspend the programme at the eleventh hour. At the time, the management assured heartbroken ticket holders that a new date would be finalised as soon as the situation normalised. True to their word, the organisers have resolved the challenges, bringing immense relief to the musician’s vast Bangladeshi fanbase.

Revised Ticket Sales and Pricing Strategy

The event management firm, Triple Time Communications, stated that preparations for the upcoming August event are in their final stages. Official ticket distribution is expected to commence within the next few days. In an unexpected turn of events, the organisers are planning to revise the pricing structure downwards to make the event more accessible to music lovers.

Arifa Shabnam, a representative of Triple Time Communications, confirmed the development, saying, “Our preparations for this fresh schedule are complete. We will initiate the ticket sales process very shortly. Keeping our audiences’ convenience in mind, we are actively trying to set the ticket prices slightly lower than what was announced for the previous date.”

Refund Status and Strict New Ticketing Rules

The sudden cancellation in June had left hundreds of consumers worried about financial losses, but the management has made significant progress in clearing the dues. According to internal data, nearly every individual who bought tickets directly from the organisers has successfully received a full financial reimbursement.

Addressing the refund process, Shabnam noted, “To the best of our knowledge, except for a tiny group of roughly 40 individuals, all buyers have been fully refunded.”

However, the management has issued a strict advisory regarding the entry policy for the rescheduled event. The tickets purchased for the postponed June date will be considered completely invalid for the August concert. Consequently, music enthusiasts who previously held bookings must go through the purchase process again to secure their admission.

Venue Capacity and Guest Appearances

The designated venue, the United Convention Centre, boasts a substantial capacity, accommodating up to four thousand spectators. This spacious layout ensures that the concert will be held in a controlled, comfortable environment, allowing a large audience to enjoy the experience safely.

While Anupam Roy remains the headline act of the night, he will not be performing alone. The organisers have arranged for a popular local Bangladeshi musical act—either a renowned solo artist or a top-tier band—to share the stage. Although the identity of this local co-performer remains under wraps as a surprise element, the announcement has added extra intrigue to the event.

With all necessary administrative, security, and governmental approvals successfully obtained, the production team is now focusing on the final technical rehearsals.
