Pussycat Dolls Reveal Controversial Reunion Line-up

The globally renowned girl group Pussycat Dolls have announced that their upcoming reunion tour will proceed without including all of their original members, citing the need to “protect our peace.” The revelation has sparked widespread discussion among fans, particularly given the absence of some key figures from the group’s formative line-up.

Earlier this month, the Pussycat Dolls confirmed their return in a trio formation, featuring Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, and Kimberly Wyatt. The reunion is timed to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their 2005 debut album PCD, a record that catapulted the group to international fame.

However, original member Carmit Bachar, who was part of the first line-up alongside Scherzinger, Roberts, Wyatt, Jessica Sutta, and Melody Thornton, disclosed that she had not been invited to join the reunion. Bachar revealed that she learned about the tour plans “at the same time as the public.” She expressed her disappointment, stating, “I have a history with this brand, so I should have been informed directly. Personally, it’s disheartening.”

During an interview on the Today Show, Scherzinger, Wyatt, and Roberts addressed the controversy. Scherzinger commented, “We make difficult decisions like any group of women these days.” Wyatt added, “Line-ups are always evolving, and for 2026, this is our formation. Our priority is to protect our peace. The Pussycat Dolls’ history is long; we have had divisions, and now we are repairing that.” Scherzinger emphasised, “We hold love and respect for all members. Once a Doll, always a Doll.”

The group’s 53-day tour kicks off in June across North America, with appearances by Lil’ Kim and Mýa. Following this, nine UK and Ireland shows are scheduled, culminating with a grand finale at London’s O2 Arena on 13 October.

In addition to the tour, the group recently released a new single, Club Song, produced by Mike Sabbath and co-written by Scherzinger and other collaborators. A deluxe edition of the PCD debut album, featuring previously unreleased tracks, will follow on 8 May.

Speaking to BBC News, Scherzinger remarked, “After 20 years, it’s important to see where everyone stands. The timing now has worked for us. Other members had different commitments and priorities, but everything is aligned.” Roberts added, “Nicole initially reached out to everyone for the reunion. We all agreed and are thrilled to celebrate our journey as women.”

Fans can expect a vibrant and celebratory experience, blending the group’s signature songs, dance routines, and nostalgic storytelling in a fresh, dynamic presentation that honours the Pussycat Dolls’ enduring legacy.
