Headlining the heavily anticipated ‘Main Stage Featuring Atif Aslam’ gala on Friday, 24 July, the subcontinent’s premier romantic balladeer confirmed the performance via his official social media channels, delighting a massive regional fanbase.

The high-profile production, orchestrated by entertainment agency Main Stage, will transform the Cricketers Academy grounds in Dhaka’s bustling 300 Feet sector into a massive open-air arena. In a bid to offer a diverse auditory experience, the organisers have paired the international pop icon with two of Bangladesh’s finest contemporary acts: the avant-garde art-rock collective Meghdol and the alternative fusion pioneers Level Five. This cross-border arrangement promises to bridge commercial South Asian pop with indie-rock sensibilities.

In anticipation of a massive turnout, a rigorous security and crowd-management protocol has been established. Entry tickets are currently being distributed across three separate pricing tiers. Gates to the arena are scheduled to open early at 2:00 pm, whilst access points will be strictly locked at 6:00 pm to maintain security perimeters. The musical presentations will commence at 5:00 pm and conclude promptly at 10:00 pm.

This upcoming July event serves as a long-awaited resolution to a lengthy delay that tested the patience of thousands of music lovers. The concert was originally scheduled to take place on 13 December last year. However, despite technical rehearsals being completed and stages fully built, the unveiling of the national election schedule prompted eleventh-hour security concerns, forcing an indefinite postponement. At the time, the promotional agency stood firm against outright cancellation, promising to revive the event when circumstances stabilized.

A comprehensive ticketing reconciliation programme has been implemented to honour those original purchases. Patrons holding unrefunded vouchers from the postponed 2025 date can log onto the official platform to verify their booking, allowing them to receive updated physical entry passes via complimentary courier delivery. Furthermore, fans who previously initiated refund claims but have not yet received their settlements are being given a window to cancel those requests, restoring their eligibility for a direct-to-door ticket exchange.
