Subir Nandi’s New Song Released After Years

Renowned singer Subir Nandi, who passed away in 2020 while undergoing treatment in Singapore, continues to captivate music lovers even after his death. Nearly half a decade has passed, yet several of his recorded songs remain unreleased. Prior to his passing, Nandi lent his voice to a total of eleven tracks composed by National Film Award-winning music director Tanvir Tarek. These recordings are now being gradually released, allowing fans to reconnect with the late singer’s inimitable voice.

Several tracks from this series have already been made public, generating excitement among audiences. The latest addition is titled “Amar Ayu Niye Bacho” (Live With My Life), with lyrics penned by acclaimed lyricist Zahid Akbar. This melancholic yet romantic song is set to be released on the official ‘Sounds of Tanvir’ YouTube channel, and simultaneously across more than fifty international platforms including Apple Music and Spotify.

Speaking about the song, music director Tanvir Tarek said:
“Working with Subirda on this project remains one of the most cherished experiences of my life. These tracks represent some of the most significant work of my career. Every song incorporates acoustic instruments. For instance, in ‘Amar Ayu Niye Bacho,’ the sitar is played by renowned subcontinental maestro Rahul Mukherjee. The lyrics are exquisite, and Subirda’s voice needs no introduction. In today’s era of Reels and TikTok, there are still listeners who wish to immerse themselves in melody. This song is for them.”

Lyricist Zahid Akbar added, “I always feel at ease working with Tanvir’s compositions. I was unaware that this song had been recorded with Subirda’s voice. I had assumed it was never completed. Hearing my lyrics sung by him after all these years has left me truly amazed. I believe listeners will experience the same admiration each time they hear it.”

The song will first be released as a lyric video, followed by a full thematic music video shot separately. Recording and mixing were carried out at Kolahal Studio, Dhaka, Vibration Studio, Kolkata, and final mastering was completed at TFP Studio, Las Vegas.
