Diljit Dosanjh Sets Wembley Milestone, Heads for Ahmedabad

Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has added another landmark achievement to his international career after becoming the first Punjabi artist to headline London’s iconic Wembley Stadium. Hours after the sold-out performance, he announced that the next major stop on his AURA World Tour will be Ahmedabad, where he is scheduled to perform at the Narendra Modi Stadium on 21 November 2026.

The announcement was made during his Wembley show, which drew a packed crowd for the latest leg of his global tour. According to information shared by his team, around 90,000 people attended the performance, underlining the scale of his growing international following.

Following the concert, Diljit and his team shared photographs and videos from the event on Instagram, offering fans a glimpse of the energetic show. The performance combined his Punjabi musical roots with contemporary sounds, while his familiar bhangra moves and traditional attire remained central to the stage presentation.

A landmark night at Wembley

The Wembley appearance represents a significant moment in Diljit’s rise as an international performer. The singer has spent recent years taking Punjabi music to audiences outside India, with live performances playing a major role in broadening his global reach.

At Wembley, he performed for a huge audience in a setting associated with some of the biggest names in music. His performance featured the blend of Punjabi music and contemporary hip-hop influences that has become a defining part of his artistic identity.

Wembley Stadium also shared snippets of the concert on its official Instagram account and described Diljit as the first Punjabi artist to headline the venue. The recognition adds to a series of milestones achieved by the singer as he continues to build a presence on major international stages.

For Diljit, the Wembley concert also reflects the growing international visibility of Punjabi-language music. His performances have increasingly attracted audiences beyond the traditional Punjabi-speaking community, helping his music reach listeners in different parts of the world.

Ahmedabad awaits

After making history in London, Diljit is now preparing to return to India for another large-scale stadium performance. His 21 November concert will be held at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, one of India’s largest sporting venues.

In a video circulating on social media, Diljit spoke to the Wembley crowd in Punjabi about the importance of performing at such a large stadium in India. Referring to the venue’s scale, he said, “The world’s biggest stadium is in India… how can a Punjabi not go there?”

He then addressed his Ahmedabad audience with the words, “Kem Cho, majaa maa?” before announcing, “We’re doing Live at Narendra Modi Stadium on 21st November.”

The Ahmedabad concert will be another stadium-scale appearance in India for the singer. Diljit has previously toured the country with his Dil-Luminati India Tour, which took place in late 2024 and included performances in several cities, among them Ahmedabad.

His return comes after an increasingly international phase of his career, with the Wembley performance serving as one of the most prominent stops on the current AURA World Tour. The transition from a sold-out show in London to a major stadium concert in India also highlights the scale at which he is now staging live performances.

For the moment, 21 November 2026 is the confirmed date for the Ahmedabad concert. Information on ticket sales, prices and the complete schedule for the India leg of the tour has yet to be announced.

With his Wembley milestone now behind him, attention will turn to Ahmedabad, where Diljit is set to bring his Punjabi sound and high-energy live performance to another vast audience.
