Atif Is Set to Rock Dhaka—With Two Popular Local Band!

The upcoming concert featuring Atif Aslam has become a major topic of discussion not only among music lovers but also within the wider entertainment community in Dhaka. According to Main Stage, the concert, scheduled for 13 December at the Bashundhara Residential Area, will also feature Nemesis and Fuad & Friends performing alongside the celebrated Pakistani artist.

Organisers describe the event as a festive occasion for young audiences. They believe that the presence of Atif Aslam, one of South Asia’s most prominent singers, combined with performances by renowned Bangladeshi artists, will create an engaging and memorable atmosphere.

Tickets for the show are being sold through the CholoGhuri website in three categories: Duri Area (2,499 taka), Adaat Area (4,999 taka), and Pehli Nazar Area (9,999 taka). All tickets from the Adaat category have already sold out. The organisers expect nearly 35,000 attendees on the day of the event.

Through the Private University Students’ Alliance of Bangladesh, a portion of the ticket revenue will be allocated to support the families affected during the July movement. The organisers highlight this as a humanitarian initiative alongside the musical arrangement.

Despite the excitement, concerns linger due to the recent cancellation of several concerts featuring foreign artists. Various organisations had planned six major concerts for November and December, yet three have already been cancelled and others postponed because administrative approval was not granted due to security-related issues.

Although rumours surfaced last week about a possible cancellation of Atif’s concert, Main Stage has reassured audiences that the event will take place on schedule. They further stated that they are coordinating with relevant government departments in accordance with proper procedures and remain confident that the concert can be held safely.
