After ‘Gulbahar’, Ishan Majumdar to Release ‘Jab Jab Mon’

Musician Ishan Majumdar has made a name for himself with a string of hit songs, including Dharale Duare, Nithur Monohor, Jene Niyo, and most recently Gulbahar. His distinctive voice and unique performance style have helped him carve out a separate identity in the music scene.

Released around five months ago, Gulbahar quickly went viral on social media. The song’s video has already garnered over 28 million views on YouTube and continues to be a favourite among listeners.

Despite the huge success of Gulbahar, Ishan had not released any new music in the months that followed, leaving fans eagerly awaiting his next track.

Ishan Majumdar has now confirmed that fans will not have to wait much longer. His latest folk-inspired song, Jab Jab Mon, is set to be released this month. The track is currently in post-production. The lyrics are written by Yash Namudar, while the music has been co-arranged by Ishan himself along with Dipro Ahmed. The song’s video was filmed in Mirzapur, Tangail, last July, following the popular mass uprising of the previous year. Models Abdullah Al Santu and Marshia will feature in the video. Ishan added, “Santu performed exceptionally well in a recent film. After watching it, I contacted him and he agreed to appear alongside Marshia in the video.”

Although Ishan has released only a handful of songs in his career so far, most of them are melody-driven and have consistently struck a chord with listeners. Speaking about his growing popularity, he said, “It feels like a dream that so many people are listening to my songs. I create music the way I write and sing, and I try to present my artwork to people as authentically as possible. The immense love from listeners has given me enormous encouragement and confidence. I am grateful to the Creator for spreading my songs among so many people.”

In addition to Jab Jab Mon, Ishan has recorded two or three more songs, with video shoots planned soon. He intends to release these videos sequentially, keeping his audience engaged. Several other tracks are also in the writing phase.

Ishan first rose to prominence in 2023 with his performance of Dharale Duare on Coke Studio Bangla. Born and raised in Dhaka, he has steadily built a reputation for heartfelt and melodious music that resonates widely with audiences.
