Renowned Bangladeshi music artist Asif Akbar is set to unveil a distinctive new musical film for the upcoming Eid season titled “Ruposhi Srimangal”. The project features a duet performance with singer Rubaiyat Jahan and is designed as a visual celebration of Srimangal’s natural beauty, cultural richness, and historical identity.

The musical production centres on Srimangal—widely recognised as the tea capital of Bangladesh—bringing to life its lush green tea gardens, rolling hills, indigenous communities, and traditional lifestyles. Through cinematic storytelling and carefully crafted musical composition, the project aims to present an immersive portrayal of one of the country’s most scenic regions.

According to production sources, the song is scheduled for release tomorrow at midday via an online video streaming platform. Upon release, audiences will be able to experience a visually rich presentation highlighting Srimangal’s landscapes, cultural heritage, and everyday rural life. The creators expect the project to play a role in promoting domestic tourism while also drawing international attention to the region’s natural appeal.

The lyrics have been penned by Kayes Aziz, while direction of the music video has been handled by Saikat Reza. The composition and musical arrangement have been created by UK-based acclaimed composer Raja Kashif, known for his extensive work across South Asian film and music industries. His contribution adds a contemporary international soundscape to the production, blending modern orchestration with regional cultural tones.

Asif Akbar described the project as a refreshing creative experience, noting that it differs from his conventional musical works. Producer Dhruv Guha stated that the concept originated while he was abroad, where the initial idea gradually evolved into a structured production plan.
