Punjabi Singer Harman Sidhu Dies in Road Accident at 37

Punjabi singer Harman Sidhu has tragically passed away at the age of 37 following a car crash on the Mansa-Patiala road. Local media reports indicate that Sidhu’s vehicle collided with a truck while he was en route to his village, Khyala, late last night.

The ‘Paper ya Pyaar’ hitmaker suffered severe injuries in the crash and succumbed to them shortly after, with his car sustaining significant damage. His untimely death has left the Punjabi music industry in mourning. Sidhu is survived by his wife and daughter. His passing comes just months after the death of popular Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda, who also died in a road accident in Himachal Pradesh earlier this year.

According to local resident Nazar Singh Noor, the collision was extremely violent, leaving little chance of survival for Sidhu. This tragic event follows the recent death of Zubeen Garg, a legendary figure in Assamese music. The investigation into the incident continues, but no foul play has been suspected.

Who Was Harman Sidhu?

Harman Sidhu was best known for his soulful tracks, including ‘Kagaz Jeha Pyaar’ and ‘Miss Pooja’. His music resonated deeply with fans, making him an integral part of the Punjabi music scene. Sidhu’s other popular songs include ‘Koi Chakkar Nai’, ‘Bebe Bapu’, ‘Babbar Sher’, and ‘Multan vs Russia’.

The singer had also endured personal loss, having lost his father a year and a half ago. His death follows the passing of Rajvir Jawanda, who tragically died in September after a biking accident in Himachal Pradesh. Jawanda’s collision with stray cattle led to fatal spinal injuries, and despite being hospitalised for over a week, he passed away in October.

Sidhu’s passing marks another heart-wrenching loss for the Punjabi music community, and fans will remember him for the legacy he leaves behind. Punjab’s Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has expressed his condolences and sent his heartfelt support to Sidhu’s family.
