Jeezy Sets Guinness World Record with 101-Piece Orchestra in Vegas

Jeezy has reached a new milestone in his career by securing a Guinness World Record for the largest orchestra ever assembled for a hip-hop concert. The achievement came on Saturday, November 1, during his residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, where the rapper performed with 101 orchestra musicians.

The historic performance saw Jeezy share the stage with members of The Color of Noize Orchestra, marking a groundbreaking moment in hip-hop history. This was officially recognised by Guinness World Records adjudicator Andy Glass, who presented the rapper with the award.

In an Instagram post celebrating the accomplishment, Jeezy wrote: “It has always been my purpose to motivate and inspire my culture. Thank you to everyone involved for believing in my vision. Couldn’t have done it without you. This one’s for the books … literally.”

He also added: “A winner is a dreamer who never gave up,” highlighting the significance of this achievement in his career.

The second night of Jeezy’s residency took on a masquerade theme, with the artist and his expansive band of classical musicians performing original compositions by Derrick Hodge. The musical direction was led by Adam Blackstone. Beyond the world record, the event also marked the largest-ever assembly of an orchestra for any concert in Las Vegas, regardless of genre.

Jeezy’s residency at Planet Hollywood kicked off on Halloween, and he is set to return for two more shows in December, which will feature a Nutcracker theme.
