Bollywood singer Mika Singh is set to headline Tribo Fest 2026 in Diphu, Assam, on Sunday, 4 October, as the cultural and entertainment event brings together mainstream Hindi music with performers and traditions from the Northeast.
The festival is being held at KPH Taralangso in Karbi Anglong and is planned as an extended live-entertainment programme lasting around eight hours. The main event is scheduled to begin at 3pm, while entry will open from 1pm. Attendance is restricted to people aged 18 and above.
Mika Singh will be joined by Assamese singer Zublee Baruah, regional performer Binong Timung and Bollywood live performer Naveen Rajput. The line-up gives the event a mix of established Bollywood entertainment and regional talent, with performances planned in Hindi, Assamese and Karbi.
Mika Singh is expected to be the festival’s principal attraction. Known for his energetic stage performances and popular Hindi film songs, he has become a familiar name on India’s live-music circuit. His appearance at Tribo Fest adds a high-profile Bollywood presence to an event that is also designed to give regional performers a prominent platform.
The festival’s programming reflects the cultural and linguistic diversity of Assam and the wider Northeast. Rather than concentrating solely on Hindi music, the organisers have brought together artists associated with different musical traditions. The result is a programme intended to allow mainstream Indian entertainment and regional sounds to share the same stage.
Karbi Anglong provides the setting for the festival, giving the event a strong regional character. The area is known for its diverse cultural traditions, while Diphu serves as an important centre within the district. Staging a large live-music event in the area also places local and regional performers alongside artists with a wider national profile.
Organisers have positioned Tribo Fest as more than a conventional music concert. The festival is intended to showcase the cultural identity and diversity of Northeast India to a broader audience, with music serving as the central link between popular entertainment and regional expression.
The inclusion of Assamese and Karbi performances is particularly significant to the character of the programme. For audiences familiar with the region’s musical traditions, the event offers a platform for local artists, while the presence of a Bollywood headliner creates an opportunity for those regional sounds to reach a wider audience.
According to BookMyShow, tickets for Tribo Fest are available from ₹1,000. The platform lists Mika Singh, Naveen Rajput, Zublee Baruah and Binong Timung among the featured performers.
With around eight hours of live entertainment planned, Tribo Fest 2026 is expected to offer audiences a varied musical experience spanning Bollywood, Assamese and Karbi performances. The event also places Diphu and Karbi Anglong in the spotlight as venues where contemporary entertainment and the cultural traditions of Northeast India can come together on one stage.
