Wicked: For Good, F1, and Sinners Lead Nominations for 2025 Hollywood Music in Media Awards

Somewhere over the rainbow lies the leading nominee for the 2025 Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMAs).

Jon M. Chu’s Wicked: For Good, starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, has emerged as the top contender with six nominations, narrowly ahead of Sinners, which has five. Both F1 and The Ballad of Wallis Island have each garnered four nominations. The full list of nominees is detailed below.

The HMMAs celebrate the achievements of composers, songwriters, and music supervisors across the globe for their contributions to music in film, TV, video games, and other media throughout the past year. Winners will be honoured at the 16th annual ceremony, which will take place on November 19 at The Avalon in Hollywood.

This year’s event will feature performances from a range of talented artists, including A.R. Rahman, Diane Warren, Kesha, Aiyana-Lee, Jeff Beal, and Afghan pop star Aryana Sayeed, among others. The ceremony will be livestreamed globally for the first time on the Laurel Canyon Live app.
