Renowned Bangladeshi playback singer Nazmun Munira Nancy and acclaimed composer-singer Jahid Nirob have reunited after nearly five years to release a vibrant new duet titled ‘Deewana Dil’. The track serves as the item song for the upcoming Chorki Original film ‘Happily Married’, starring Arifin Shuvoo and Keya Payel. Released on Friday, 9 October on Chorki’s official YouTube channel, the track has quickly captured the imagination of music enthusiasts across the country.

Written by the film’s director, Jahid Pritom, ‘Deewana Dil’ features energetic composition and music direction by Jahid Nirob. The collaboration marks a significant moment for fans who have eagerly anticipated a full-fledged duet from the duo since their last major joint venture.

Taking to social media on Sunday, 11 October, Jahid Nirob encouraged listeners to tune into the new release while reflecting on his long-standing professional bond with Nancy. He shared a fond memory from early in his career when he first heard her perform live on the first floor of the Munshiganj Shilpakala Academy. Accompanied by legendary music director Habib Wahid on the electric piano, Nancy delivered a rendition of the hit track ‘Prithibir Joto Sukh’, an experience Nirob described as unforgettable and deeply inspiring.

Their formal creative association began in 2021 with the release of ‘Tomake Chai’, a popular track created for the ‘CloseUp Kache Ashar Golpo’ project. Although Nancy subsequently lent her vocals to several compositions crafted by Nirob over the following years, ‘Deewana Dil’ represents their first major recorded duet after a five-year gap.

Public reception to the single has been overwhelmingly positive. Within forty-eight hours of its digital premiere, the track surpassed 16,500 views on YouTube, generating significant traction across social media platforms. Listeners have praised the vocal chemistry between the two artists alongside the lively arrangement, positioning the song as a potential highlight of the film’s soundtrack. With anticipation building for ‘Happily Married’, the successful launch of ‘Deewana Dil’ delivers promising momentum for both the artists and the film’s upcoming theatrical release.
