Def Leppard Prepares Third Spectacular Vegas Residency

Rock legends Def Leppard are gearing up to launch their third Las Vegas residency early this year, marking another milestone in a career that has spanned nearly five decades. Formed in 1977, the band is crafting a unique live experience for fans after 49 years on the road. Bassist Rick Savage commented, “We have enough songs to carry us through the rest of this decade. We’ve decided to omit a few tracks from our previous two albums, but the rest are ready to go.”

Currently, the band is writing new material, with plans to release their 13th studio album either later this year or in the early part of 2027. Savage added, “Completing the final 20% of an album takes almost 80% of the time. We are still writing, recording, and refining the tracks to ensure they meet our standards.”

Vegas Residency: Classic Hits, Fresh Magic

Frontman Joe Elliott revealed that the new Las Vegas show has been completely reimagined. “This show is entirely different from the last five or six tours and performances,” Elliott said. Fans can expect a blend of beloved hits alongside songs that have not been performed live since the 1990s. The residency will also feature their new single, Rejoice. “The show is truly spectacular and offers audiences an experience on a whole new level,” Elliott added.

For the band members, the residency has provided a rare sense of stability after decades on the road. “In 46 years of touring, we rarely had the chance to unpack our bags,” Elliott said. “Now, for the first time, it feels like a temporary home. It’s an entirely different world.”

Landmark Anniversaries Ahead

The years 2026 and 2027 are particularly significant for Def Leppard, with several key anniversaries coinciding with the residency:
