The prominent Bangladeshi rock band Artcell are scheduled to resume live stage performances in September with a concert tour across Canada, marking the end of a ten-month hiatus from the stage. Known for their active touring schedule both domestically and internationally, the band had not announced any new performances for approximately six months. Their last live appearance took place during a tour of Australia in November.
Details of the Canadian Tour
The upcoming international tour is scheduled to commence on 13 September in Vancouver, Canada. According to the band’s guitarist, Iqbal Asif Jewel, discussions are currently underway with event organisers to finalize additional concerts in other Canadian cities, including Toronto and Calgary. The finalized itinerary will be published on Artcell’s official Facebook page once confirmed. The band plan to perform a selection of their established hits alongside newly released material during these shows.
The band’s extended absence from the stage followed their November tour of Australia, during which the mother of lead vocalist Lincoln passed away. Following this bereavement, Lincoln travelled to the United States to stay with his brother. According to Jewel, this personal loss, combined with other logistical factors, necessitated the band’s temporary withdrawal from public performances.
Lincoln is currently in Canada negotiating the tour arrangements with local promoters. Furthermore, bassist Cezanne will travel from Australia to join the rest of the band in Canada, completing the full performing line-up for the tour.

Extended Play Release and Documentary Plans
Prior to their departure for Australia in November, Artcell released two tracks from their latest Extended Play (EP) album, titled Choturthangsho. The songs, titled ‘O Akash’ and ‘Ekti Notun Gaan’, were made available in October. Two additional tracks from the same EP, titled ‘Biday Kibhabe Janai’ and ‘Jani Bhul Korechi’, are currently awaiting official release.
The band management have confirmed that following the release of all four tracks, they will publish a behind-the-scenes documentary titled The Making of Choturthangsho. The documentary will detail the creative process, songwriting, and studio recording sessions involved in producing the EP.
