Agency Dismisses BTS Split Rumours

Rumours concerning a possible disbandment of the globally renowned K-pop group BTS have resurfaced, but have been firmly dismissed by their management agency, Bright Music. The agency’s Vice-President, Nicole, stated clearly that there is no question of the group splitting up, adding that BTS continues to move forward together in a stronger and more unified manner.

On 20 March of this year, BTS released their fifth studio album, Arirang. The album broke multiple records shortly after its release, reinforcing the group’s global influence. Following the launch, BTS embarked on a world tour and is currently performing the United States leg of the tour. The group has once again drawn international attention through new music, large-scale stage production, and extensive touring activities.

Despite their continued global presence, speculation emerged in recent weeks regarding the group’s cohesion, particularly in light of the members’ individual solo careers. However, BigHit Music rejected such assumptions, describing them as unfounded.

Nicole addressed the rumours directly, stating: “If the members heard these rumours, they would find them entirely ridiculous. Their relationship is very strong and close.” She further confirmed that all seven members — RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook — remain equally committed to both one another and the group.

Questions were also raised by some fans regarding Jin’s absence from the album credits. In response, Nicole clarified that Jin was engaged in his solo tour during that period. By the time he joined the project, much of the production work had already progressed significantly. While he participated in some preparatory activities, he was not involved in the final stage of songwriting.

Jin had previously stated that he was unable to be present in the United States during the initial stages of Arirang’s production but expressed his intention to take a more active role in future projects.

BTS is also currently undertaking one of its largest world tours to date, comprising 85 scheduled stops. It has been reported that Jin played a role in encouraging the label to expand the tour’s scope, including adding performances across multiple continents. As a result, the tour may extend until 2027, according to current planning discussions.
