Ending the wait for film lovers, the heroine for the new movie opposite Siam Ahmed has finally been finalised. Popular Kolkata actress Idhika Paul will be co-starring with Siam Ahmed in his upcoming film ‘Rakkhosh’. Siam has recently completed his work on the film ‘Andhar’, directed by Raihan Rafi, and is now fully focused on this new project. There was curiosity amongst the audience regarding the film ‘Rakkhosh’ beforehand, but the main discussion centred on who would be the heroine. Although the names of Prarthana Fardin Dighi and Sabila Nur were heard at various times, ultimately, Director Mehedi Hasan and the production house deemed Idhika Paul suitable for this role. It is reported that the film contract will be signed with Idhika this week.
This is set to be the first collaboration between Siam Ahmed and Idhika Paul. Previously, at the beginning of 2024, they were supposed to pair up in the film ‘Sikandar’, but that did not happen. In that regard, the audience will see this pair on screen for the first time through the film ‘Rakkhosh’. Idhika Paul has already established a strong position in Bangladesh. The film ‘Priyotoma’ with Shakib Khan made her extremely popular amongst the audience of this country. Subsequently, she also worked on the film ‘Borbaad’. Additionally, her presence in Hasibur Reza’s ‘Kobi’, Kolkata’s ‘Khadaan’, and ‘Raghu Dakat’ with Dev is taking her career graph upwards. Siam Ahmed has also secured a place in the hearts of the audience through his acting skills since starting his journey with ‘Poramon 2’. In his latest film ‘Jongli’, he acted alongside Shabnam Bubly.
The shooting plan for ‘Rakkhosh’ is quite grand. The production company stated that the filming will begin this month in Dhaka. Afterward, the team will go abroad for filming. The movie will be shot in various international-standard locations in Sri Lanka and Malaysia. It is also reported that the film will feature modern action sequences. Although the director or Siam Ahmed have not yet opened up about this, sources have confirmed that shooting will commence within two weeks. The team is proceeding with the goal of releasing the film in the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
