While she had not made any comments on this matter for so long, Rashmika spoke about the wedding topic for the first time in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India.
In the interview, Rashmika expressed excitement about her career success. She has won the hearts of the audience by acting in films like ‘Chhaava’ and ‘The Girlfriend’ this year. Her five films have earned over 1,300 crore rupees at the box office. Expressing her feelings, she said that it truly felt like a dream year. She mentioned that from the beginning of her career, she wanted to play diverse roles in various types of films, and that happened this year. She added that nothing happens by planning; it just happened.
Anupama Chopra questioned Rashmika regarding the rumours about her personal life. She wanted to know if she would admit to the wedding plans or dismiss them as rumours. In response, Rashmika took a little time and said with a smile that she would do neither. She further added that when the time is right, they will announce it themselves. It is worth mentioning that Vijay’s team had informed the Hindustan Times that their engagement took place in Hyderabad in October and the wedding will be in February 2026.
