Lily Allen to Return to SNL with New Music in December
On December 13, British singer-songwriter Lily Allen will return to the show for the first time in years. Allen, who last appeared on the show as a musical guest in 2007, will be joining host Josh O’Connor, who is making his hosting debut.
The album West End Girl reflects a period of great personal upheaval in Allen’s life following her split from actor David Harbour, and the music itself showcases a raw, unapologetic side of Allen’s artistry. NME praised the album as a “vicious, vulnerable and victorious comeback.”
Upcoming December Episodes of SNL
Alongside Cher and Lily Allen, other stars will make their mark in the final SNL episodes of the year. Melissa McCarthy will host the episode on December 6, with Dijon as the musical guest. Josh O’Connor will host the December 13 episode, while Lily Allen takes the stage as musical guest. The season’s final episode, on December 20, will be hosted by Ariana Grande, with Cher performing live.
This season of SNL, which kicked off on October 24, has already delivered a star-studded array of hosts and musical acts, including Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, and Amy Poehler. Musical guests so far have included Doja Cat, Olivia Dean, and Sombr, with Olivia Dean making her debut on November 15.
