“Real-Life K-Pop Demon Hunters: Saja Boys Ready for Stage Takeover!”

The stars of KPop Demon Hunters are reportedly gearing up for live performances as the real-life Saja Boys – find out the latest buzz below.

The voices behind the hit animated film have officially registered as members of The Federation of Korean Music Performers (FKMP), indicating that they’re planning to bring their characters to life on stage.

The FKMP has confirmed that five members are officially signed up, including Andrew Choi, Neckway, and Kevin Woo – the voices behind the boy group in the film. Joining them are two new members, Danny Chung and samUIL Lee, who are now part of the exciting new chapter for the group.

Although specific details about the live performances are still under wraps, this move follows the film’s massive success, which was further boosted by live performances from EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, who voiced the singers of Huntr/x in the Netflix film.

In other news, a sequel to KPop Demon Hunters has been confirmed and is scheduled for release in 2029. Talks about an animated follow-up began shortly after the original film’s blockbuster release on August 23. The film tells the story of internationally renowned singers leading secret lives as demon hunters. Its explosive success saw it become the most-watched film in Netflix history, grossing a staggering $20 million (£14.9 million) in cinemas during its opening weekend with sing-along screenings.

While speculation about a live-action remake has been swirling, creator Maggie Kang isn’t sold on the idea. “The tone and comedy are so suited for animation,” she explained. “It’s hard to imagine the characters in a live-action setting; it would feel too grounded.” Co-director Chris Appelhans agreed, pointing out that animation allows for limitless creativity that would be difficult to capture in live-action.

Meanwhile, the KPop Demon Hunters team is setting its sights on awards season, with their hit song “Golden” earning three Grammy nominations, including Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and Best Song Written for Visual Media.
