Robyn’s Long-Awaited Comeback: New Single ‘Dopamine’ Set to Drop After Seven-Year Hiatus

Swedish pop icon Robyn is making her highly anticipated return to solo music after a near seven-year break. The global star has confirmed that her new single, “Dopamine,” will be released on November 12, 2025.

The track marks her first major release since the critically acclaimed Honey, which dropped in 2018. While Robyn has largely stayed out of the solo spotlight, she has not been inactive in the music scene. Over the past few years, she has collaborated with a number of artists, including SG Lewis and Jamie xx. Notably, she also worked with Yung Lean on a remix of Charli XCX’s “360,” which was featured on Charli’s remix album, Brat and It’s Completely Different but Also Still Brat.

The announcement of “Dopamine” was first teased through a simple sign-up link for her mailing list, accompanied by an Instagram story with the cryptic message, “Keep your eyes open…” Robyn later confirmed the news with an Instagram post that simply read, “Dopamine. November 12.”

While the release may come as a surprise to some, it has already been confirmed that Robyn is back in the studio. Her long-time collaborator, Klas Åhlund, revealed during an appearance on the Nordmark Pod podcast that he had just completed a new album with Robyn, which is expected to be released soon.

Last month, Robyn gave a hint of her new musical direction while attending Paris Fashion Week. She played a role in the soundtrack for Acne Studios’ SS26 womenswear show at Collège des Bernardins. As a close friend of the fashion house’s co-founder, Jonny Johansson, Robyn worked alongside Patrik Berger on the show’s soundtrack, offering fans a taste of what’s to come.
