MONSTA X Releases Heartfelt Single ‘Baby Blue’

MONSTA X has unveiled their latest English-language single, Baby Blue, marking their first release since their September EP The X. Released on November 14, the track represents a significant departure from the group’s usual style, featuring a tender, mellow electro-pop sound that showcases a more sentimental side of the K-pop group.

The heartfelt lyrics capture the bittersweet nature of love, with the chorus singing:
“You dance like I remember, baby blue / Still looks good, it always did on you / Oh, and there’s no easy way to lose / A love that you get used to.”

Accompanying the release is a visually striking music video, where each member is seen in various symbolic scenes—one member submerged in water, another restrained, with more surreal imagery throughout, all adding emotional depth to the song.

Baby Blue arrives two months after MONSTA X returned as a full six-member group for the first time in four years, following a series of solo activities due to the members’ mandatory military service. The group’s youngest member, I.M, is expected to enlist later this year, though the exact date remains unconfirmed.

Since 2021, MONSTA X has managed to stay active, releasing multiple EPs despite having several members serving in the military. Their last full-length album, The Dreaming (2021), received critical acclaim for its artistic growth and musical versatility.
