Global Brand Zippo Starts New Chapter with Warfaze

The globally recognised lighter brand Zippo has officially commenced its collaboration with the Bangladeshi rock band Warfaze, marking the band as the first in South Asia to partner with the company. The agreement between the two parties was initially signed last year, and the partnership has now been formally activated with the release of branded collectible products and associated collaborative activities.

Under this initiative, Zippo has already launched two special edition lighters featuring Warfaze branding. The Bangladesh marketing operations for Zippo are managed by Luxco Trading Limited, which oversees distribution and promotional activities within the country. The newly released lighters are available through Zippo’s official platform in Bangladesh.

Special Edition Releases

Two distinct Zippo designs have been introduced under the collaboration, each drawing inspiration from significant milestones in Warfaze’s musical history.

Statements from Warfaze

Warfaze drummer and band leader Sheikh Monirul Alam Tipu described the collaboration as a significant milestone for the band. He stated that Warfaze’s music has consistently remained connected to generational sentiment and that working with an iconic global brand such as Zippo represents an important development in the band’s long-standing career.

He further noted that Zippo has a long history of collaborating with musicians globally over nearly a century, and that Warfaze’s inclusion as the first South Asian band in such a partnership is a notable achievement. He also referenced the band’s four-decade-long journey, mentioning recent milestones including the receipt of the Ekushey Padak, one of Bangladesh’s national honours. According to him, these achievements are attributable to the continued support of the band’s audience.

Industry Perspective

Speaking on behalf of Luxco Trading Limited, Managing Director Irfan Hossain stated that the objective of the collaboration is to develop a collectible culture in Bangladesh through Zippo products. He added that there are future plans to introduce additional culturally inspired collectible editions in the market, although no specific releases were detailed.

Broader Context

This collaboration reflects a growing trend of international lifestyle brands engaging with South Asian music and cultural figures through limited-edition merchandise. The partnership between Zippo and Warfaze represents a structured integration of music heritage and collectible product design within the Bangladeshi market, facilitated through officially licensed distribution channels.
