Fred Again..’s 10-City Tour: A Phone-Free, Star-Studded Musical Journey

Fred again.. has embarked on a unique, high-energy venture: 10 shows in 10 cities over 10 weeks, coinciding with the release of his highly anticipated USB002 project. Kicking off earlier this month, the English producer is offering fans an immersive live experience that blends new music, surprise collaborations, and a phone-free environment designed to enhance connection and participation.

As part of the release, Fred again.. is unveiling a new track each week from USB002, following the success of its predecessor, USB001. The earlier project included hits such as “Jungle,” “Baby Again” (a collaboration with Skrillex and Four Tet), “Lights Out” with Romy and Haai, “Rumble” with Skrillex, and “Turn On The Lights Again..” with Swedish House Mafia and Future. USB002 promises to be just as star-studded, with the first track, “you’re a star,” featuring Australian rock band Amyl and the Sniffers. This track made a significant debut on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart at No. 7. Other upcoming releases from the project include collaborations with Danny Brown, Beam, and Skin On Skin.

The tour’s guest performers have matched the calibre of Fred’s collaborations. The first three shows have seen him joined by an impressive line-up, including fellow producers Haai, Yousuke Yukimatsu, a trio of Belgian talent, and Spanish artists Drea and Toccororo. Each show is a celebration of the global dance music scene and showcases the dynamic nature of Fred again..’s sound.

One notable aspect of this tour is the phone-free experience it offers. Fans attending these shows have their phone cameras sealed with stickers upon arrival, creating a focused and present atmosphere for both the audience and the artists. The aim is to foster full participation in the live experience, without distractions from the digital world. This unique approach is part of Fred’s commitment to making each performance more intimate and connected.

In terms of production, the tour features a striking visual element with the inclusion of a special installation by Dutch artist and composer Boris Acket. Acket’s signature works, including one of his billowing, parachute-type installations, have been incorporated into the shows, adding a further layer of immersion and artistry to the live performances.

As Fred again.. continues his whirlwind tour, fans are left eagerly awaiting each new release and the next stop on his remarkable journey. With each show offering new music, incredible collaborations, and a deeply engaging experience, this 10-week run is set to be a highlight of his career.
