Football Anthem Marks Arman Khan Return

After a prolonged hiatus from active music production, once-prominent Bangladeshi composer and music director Arman Khan is set to make a notable return to the music scene with a new football-themed track. The upcoming song, titled “Football Football”, is scheduled for release on 10 June and marks his re-emergence as a creative force in the industry after many years of relative quiet.

The track is performed by vocalist Bijoy Mamun, best known as the frontman of the Bijoy Band. Arman Khan himself has written the lyrics and composed the melody, drawing inspiration from the global excitement, passion, and emotional intensity that surround the game of football. According to those involved in the production, the song seeks to capture the unifying spirit of the sport, particularly during major international tournaments when enthusiasm peaks across continents.

Production work on the accompanying music video has already been completed, and the release package is now fully prepared. The song is being sponsored by Universal Medical College Hospital and will be distributed under the banner of Sangeeta, a recognised music label in the region. Early indications suggest that anticipation among both football enthusiasts and music listeners has been steadily building ahead of its official release.

At present, Arman Khan resides in Srimangal, Sylhet, where he continues to engage with music in a structured and selective manner. Although he stepped back from full-time commercial production, he has not disengaged entirely from creative work. In November of last year, he established a modern recording studio at the Grand Sultan Tea Resort and Golf, allowing him to continue composing and experimenting with music during his leisure time.

Speaking about his return, Khan noted that professional responsibilities and long-term commitments had limited his ability to produce music consistently in recent years. However, he now feels ready to re-engage more actively with composition, with plans to deliver higher-quality musical works in the future. He also highlighted that it has been approximately fourteen years since a song written and composed by him was last released in the voice of another artist, making this project particularly significant on a personal and professional level.

Singer Bijoy Mamun described the collaboration as a dream-like opportunity, expressing admiration for Arman Khan’s long-standing influence in shaping contemporary Bangladeshi music. He added that he grew up listening to compositions associated with Khan and has long been inspired by his work with leading national artists.

Arman Khan, born on 3 February 1977 in Dhaka, is the son of the legendary composer Alam Khan. He rose to prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s, contributing significantly to modern and band music in Bangladesh. Over the years, he worked on numerous successful albums, collaborated with leading artists, and expanded his creative footprint across multiple musical formats.

His professional journey can be summarised as follows:

Arman Khan’s work in television drama music also earned him significant recognition. His debut in this area began with the drama “Joar Bhata”, written by Abdullah Al Mamun. Over time, he became a prolific contributor to the field, producing background scores for a vast number of productions and strengthening his reputation among directors and producers alike.
