“Create In Your Name”: A Bold New Take on Love in the Digital Age

Acclaimed actress, musician, and creative powerhouse Jena Malone has made her highly anticipated return with the release of her new single and accompanying visualiser, “Create In Your Name”. Set against an atmospheric, experimental soundscape, the song delves into a longing for a deeper, more transcendent connection, cutting through the distractions and illusions that often define our hyper-digital, fast-paced world.

As Malone herself explains, “‘Create In Your Name’ is about yearning to find something more divine in love and dating, despite the overwhelming digital swamp that we all find ourselves navigating. It’s not just about dating or making love, but about creating something meaningful in someone’s name… inspiration as the highest form of foreplay.”

Jena Malone is a multifaceted artist whose work spans across acting, music, photography, poetry, and theatre. She is best known for her diverse roles in film and television, with standout performances in Donnie Darko, Pride & Prejudice, and the Hunger Games franchise (where she portrayed Johanna Mason). Her other film credits include Love Lies Bleeding, Antebellum, and many more. On the small screen, she has appeared in series such as Too Old to Die Young, Goliath, and will be starring in the upcoming Netflix series The Boroughs.

Beyond her acting career, Malone has long nurtured her musical talents. What began as songwriting in Lake Tahoe gradually evolved into experimental video work, which eventually incorporated sound design and vocals. In 2008, she launched her experimental musical project, Jena Malone and Her Bloodstains, opening for Deerhunter and releasing singles through the Social Registry label.

She is also one half of the musical duo The Shoe with Lem Jay Ignacio, releasing their deeply personal and minimalist 2014 album I’m Okay. Now, Jena Malone is embarking on a new chapter, releasing music under her own name. Fans can expect upcoming tracks exploring themes of love, heartbreak, and desire.
