Dhaka is poised to witness an unprecedented fusion of world-class football nostalgia and contemporary music as the capital prepares to host ‘Soccarama’ on 18th August. Organised jointly by Link3 Technologies and Affordable Venture Limited, the grand musical event will take place at the United Convention Centre in the capital, commencing at 3:00 pm.

The main highlight of the occasion is the grand appearance of legendary former Argentine international Claudio Caniggia. Renowned for his explosive speed and decisive goals during the 1990 and 1994 FIFA World Cups—most notably his historic winner against Brazil in 1990—Caniggia remains a beloved icon among Bangladesh’s vast and passionate Latin American football fan base. The concert has been specially conceptualised to honour the footballing icon during his visit to Bangladesh.

To mark this extraordinary convergence of sport and culture, four of the country’s premier musical acts—Chirkutt, Artcell, Nemesis, and Odd Signature—are scheduled to take the stage. The participating bands have expressed immense enthusiasm regarding the opportunity to perform alongside such a global sporting figure. Taking to social media, band members from Chirkutt conveyed their excitement about performing in front of a legend who defined an era of world football. Similarly, representatives from Nemesis and Odd Signature noted that the synergy between live rock music and football fever would turn the convention centre into a vibrant celebration.

Organisers confirmed that ticket sales are currently underway online via the Ticketify platform. Tickets have been made available across three distinct pricing categories to accommodate a wide audience of music lovers and football enthusiasts. Given Bangladesh’s traditional passion for Argentine football alongside its thriving live music scene, the event is anticipated to draw a substantial crowd. The organisers reiterated that bringing a World Cup legend together with leading musical talent promises an unforgettable evening for attendees in Dhaka.
