Case Filed Over Forcible Seizure of Popular Composer Rohan Raj’s Car

Popular music composer and director Rohan Raj has alleged that he was the victim of deception and coercion in relation to the acquisition and subsequent loss of his privately purchased vehicle. According to his complaint, a coordinated group forcibly took possession of his car, which was later recovered by police and is now held at a police station.

Rohan Raj stated that he purchased a Toyota Corolla-X on 23 December 2024 from a car centre in the Uttara area. The vehicle registration number is DM-GA-25-6775. He paid the full amount in cash at the time of purchase. Following the transaction, he claims that the showroom authorities and the previous owner delayed the transfer of ownership. Despite repeated delays, no official transfer process was completed, and communication from the concerned parties eventually ceased.

He further alleged that on 26 April, a group of approximately 10 to 15 individuals took his vehicle by force from in front of the Mirpur BRTC area. During the incident, he was also taken away for a short period. He was later rescued with the assistance of Pallabi Police Station, and the vehicle was subsequently seized and kept under police custody.

A case has been filed in connection with the incident. The case number is CR-427/26. Rohan Raj has confirmed the filing of the case and stated that he is seeking justice through legal procedures. The matter is currently under investigation by the relevant authorities.
