In a significant legal development that has gripped the local entertainment industry, a Dhaka court has issued arrest warrants for the controversial singer Mainul Ahsan Noble, alongside his mother, his wife, and two associates. The warrants follow allegations of substantial financial embezzlement and deceit under the pretext of a romantic relationship and marriage proposal.
Allegations of Systematic Deception
The case was initiated by a woman named Ananniya Shabnam Rose, who alleges that Noble exploited their romantic connection to misappropriate funds totalling BDT 1,318,540. According to the court documents, the financial exploitation occurred over a nearly two-year period, specifically from 25 August 2023 to June 2025.
The complainant asserts that the singer leveraged promises of marriage to solicit various sums of money, which were never returned. The legal action further implicates Noble’s inner circle, claiming his mother, Najma Hossain, and his wife, Israt Jahan Priya, actively facilitated the fraudulent activity, alongside his assistant and an acquaintance.
Legal Timeline and PBI Findings
Following the initial filing of the case in August 2024, the court tasked the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) with verifying the claims. On 7 January 2026, Sub-Inspector Nuruzzaman submitted a formal report confirming the veracity of the allegations. Consequently, on Monday, Metropolitan Magistrate Raju Ahmed took the report into cognizance and ordered the immediate arrest of the five accused individuals.

This is not the singer’s first brush with the law. In May 2025, Noble was detained by Demra Police on charges of assault and rape. In a bizarre turn of events, he was granted bail in June 2025 only after marrying the complainant of that case while behind bars.
When approached for comment regarding this latest warrant, Noble’s management dismissed the reports as “rumours.” Subsequent attempts to reach the singer were rebuffed by staff, who claimed he was “busy with rehearsals” and required a formal appointment for any interview.
