Nepali-Origin Singer Pinky Embraces Bangladesh

Pinky Chettri, a Nepali-origin singer, content creator, and entrepreneur, has recently released her solo single “Bhab Tarang” to widespread acclaim on her YouTube channel. The song has been praised not only for its musical quality but also for the sincerity and depth Pinky brings to her work. The Story Behind the Song

The concept for “Bhab Tarang” began in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. With everyone confined to their homes, progress on the song was initially delayed. Pinky recounts, “Moon Bhai [music producer Autumnal Moon] encouraged me to complete the track. Initially, my voice didn’t feel right, so I recorded a dummy version. But Moon Bhai suggested that even the dummy recording could be finalised.”

Pinky is meticulous in selecting songs. She emphasises, “A strong lyrical and melodic foundation is essential. For ‘Bhab Tarang’, the lyrics were co-written by lyricist Kazi Ashraf and Autumnal Moon, who also composed and arranged the music. I entrusted Moon Bhai with ensuring the vocal rendition met the desired standard.”

Musical Journey and Popularity

Having performed for over a decade, Pinky’s repertoire remains selective. She explains, “I have never pursued fame for its own sake. My focus has always been healthy competition and quality. I never sought superficial popularity.”

Later this year, she plans to release a duet with Imran Mahmudul, although other releases remain undecided.
