Concert for Children

Music artists Bappa Mazumder and Shomnur Monir Konal will headline this year’s “Utsho Sandhya”, a charity concert dedicated to supporting underprivileged children.

Utsho, a long-standing organisation working for the welfare of disadvantaged young people, currently provides more than 500 children with education, safe accommodation and developmental support. All proceeds from the annual concert are directed entirely towards these programmes, allowing the organisation to expand its services and maintain essential care throughout the year.

This year’s event will take place on Friday, 21 November, at the Shaheed Abu Sayeed International Convention Centre in Dhaka. Tickets are available through Tickify, with prices ranging from Tk 700 to Tk 4,000 depending on the seating category.

Inviting her fans to attend, Konal wrote on social media that anyone wishing to “help shape a brighter future while enjoying familiar melodies” is encouraged to join the concert. “Let’s build tomorrow to the rhythm of music,” she added.

Organisers said the show will run from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, featuring individual performances, collaborative segments and short presentations highlighting Utsho’s ongoing work. They noted that the concert aims not only to raise funds, but also to raise awareness of the daily challenges faced by children growing up without adequate resources.
