Arnob Returns with New Original Album ‘Vallage Na’

After nearly a decade away from releasing a full-length original record, acclaimed Bangladeshi singer-songwriter, composer, and visual artist Shayan Chowdhury Arnob is set to return with a brand-new album titled Vallage Na. The album marks a significant creative milestone in Arnob’s career, reaffirming his place as one of the most thoughtful and experimental voices in contemporary Bangladeshi music.

The album is scheduled for release on 30 October under the banner of Adhkhana Music, with overall sponsorship and support from Eastern Bank PLC (EBL). This collaboration highlights a growing trend of institutional patronage for original music projects in Bangladesh, particularly those that prioritise artistic integrity over commercial formula.

According to Arnob’s spokesperson, Troyee, Vallage Na comprises eight original tracks. The album presents a blend of poetic adaptation and personal songwriting—some songs draw inspiration from established poetry, while others feature lyrics written by Arnob himself as well as his close collaborators and friends, Toufiq and Rajib. Arnob has taken full creative control of the project, serving as the composer, music director, and overall creative guide for every track on the album.

Reflecting on the release, Arnob shared his excitement and emotional investment in the project:

“After almost ten years, I am releasing a complete album of original songs. I feel both excited and relieved. For a long time, I wanted to work more deeply with poetry and lyrical ideas. This album allowed me that freedom. I am grateful to my friends Toufiq and Rajib for their words, and I sincerely thank EBL for supporting our work. I hope listeners will connect with the music.”

Musically, Vallage Na is expected to retain Arnob’s signature aesthetic—minimalist arrangements, introspective melodies, and a subtle fusion of folk, alternative, and experimental soundscapes—while also offering new emotional textures shaped by time, reflection, and maturity.

Initially, all tracks from the album will be released exclusively on Arnob’s official Spotify channel, ensuring global digital access. Visual interpretations of selected songs, including music videos and curated visual content, are planned for release in the coming months, further expanding the album’s artistic narrative.
