Last week, fortunate fans had the unique opportunity to witness The Lanes perform an opening set for Drive-By Truckers. For those who missed this electrifying performance, there is exciting news: The Lanes have officially released their debut album, marking a major milestone for the rising band.
The album features ten tracks, blending classic and contemporary rock influences. Band founders Matt and Kevin collaborated with local renowned musicians Richard Milkulka and Choc Bradburn, while mixing and mastering were expertly handled by Jason NeSmith at Chase Park Transduction. The final product showcases a rich, multi-layered rock sound, drawing from a variety of stylistic inspirations.
Most tracks adopt a mid-tempo or slow pace, providing listeners with an emotive and immersive experience. Standout songs include “It’s Only You”, evoking echoes of The Beach Boys and Jesus & Mary Chain, and the Big Star-inspired “I Won’t Say Anything”, a treat for classic rock aficionados.

Night 1: Sit-down performance
Night 2: Camper Van Beethoven classics with David Lowery, Greg Lisher, and friends
