Tate McRae’s So Close to What, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 upon its original release in March, is set to receive a deluxe edition. The expanded version of the album, featuring additional tracks, will be released in two weeks, McRae announced on Saturday (8 Nov).
“SO CLOSE TO WHAT??? (deluxe) is out November 21!!!!! We had a few more songs that I wanted to share with y’all to close out the SC2W era. I can’t wait for you to hear,” she wrote on Instagram.
McRae also shared a link for fans to pre-save or pre-order So Close to What (The Deluxe Album), which will be available on both Spotify and Apple Music. The deluxe edition will also be released physically, with CD copies priced at £11.98 and vinyl at £39.98, available through her webstore.
As of Sunday night, the number and titles of the new tracks remain under wraps. The announcement comes just as McRae wraps up her Miss Possessive Tour, which began in March and concluded at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, on Saturday. She shared a series of behind-the-scenes snapshots from the final show.
In September, McRae released the stand-alone single “Tit for Tat”—which wasn’t included on the So Close to What tracklist—after teasing it during her tour. The track, believed to be inspired by her breakup with fellow pop star The Kid LAROI, became her third top-five hit on the Billboard Hot 100. Her first two top-five hits were “Greedy” in 2024 and “What I Want,” her collaboration with Morgan Wallen, which hit No. 1 earlier this year.
