Australian pop icon Sia Furler has once again confirmed her global appeal, emerging as the top Australian export on Spotify for 2025. According to the streaming platform’s latest data, Sia’s collaboration with David Guetta, “Beautiful People”, has claimed the number one spot on the Global Impact List of Australian recording artists—a ranking based solely on international streams, excluding plays in Australia.
This achievement marks a historic first, with Sia becoming the inaugural artist to top the list twice. She previously led the chart in 2023 with “Gimme Love”. Born in Adelaide, Sia continues to solidify her status as a central figure in Australian music on the global stage.
Meanwhile, Tame Impala has made a significant impact, placing seven tracks from their fifth studio album, Deadbeat, in Spotify’s top 50 Australian exports. Four of these songs feature in the top 15, including “Dracula” at number two and “Loser” at number eight, highlighting the psychedelic pop project’s enduring international resonance.
Sydney-born, Los Angeles-based singer The Kid LAROI also boasts strong global influence, with seven tracks in the list. His collaborations “I Know Love” with Tate McRae (No. 3) and “A COLD PLAY” (No. 9) both secured top 10 positions, reflecting the worldwide appeal of his music. Other prominent Australian export artists include Dom Dolla, Dean Lewis, Rüfüs Du Sol, Royel Otis, and Lithe.
Leah Harris, head of artist and label partnerships at Spotify AUNZ, commented, “It’s impossible not to feel the impact of Australian music wherever you go—be it the U.S., Europe, or emerging markets where local artists are finding passionate new fans. This data shows just how borderless music has become and how Australian artists are connecting with listeners globally in deeper and more meaningful ways than ever before.”
