Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor is stepping into the world of animation, lending her voice to the popular Disney character Judy Hopps in the Hindi version of the upcoming sequel Zootopia 2.
Walt Disney Studios India shared the exciting news with a captivating poster for Zootopia 2, featuring Shraddha Kapoor alongside the beloved rabbit police officer, Judy Hopps. The actress herself shared the poster on Instagram, expressing her enthusiasm for the role. In her post, she wrote:
“I am absolutely thrilled to be voicing the amazing Judy Hopps in Zootopia 2 in Hindi! She is brave, lively, energetic, and has been an inspiration since childhood. We’re bringing a new surprise for all of you—stay tuned!”
Welcoming Shraddha Kapoor into the Disney family, the filmmakers stated, “Her charm, energy, and warmth will make Judy Hopps even more relatable and endearing in the Hindi version.”
Earlier this year, Disney released the trailer for Zootopia 2, which marks the return of the beloved characters after a nine-year gap. The trailer showcases the familiar humour and emotional journey of Judy Hopps and her clever fox partner, Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman).
In the new film, Judy remains an ambitious officer in the Zootopia Police Department, while Nick has evolved from a sly con artist to her trusted partner. Together, they embark on a thrilling investigation into a mysterious case, all while their relationship takes on a subtle romantic twist.
The trailer opens with a humorous “mismatched couples therapy session,” setting the stage for a fresh round of chaos, humour, and colourful adventures in the vibrant city of Zootopia.
Directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, Zootopia 2 promises a perfect blend of comedy and adventure. The film is set to be released globally on 28th November 2025.
