Salma Returns With Heartbreak Ballad

Nearly a month ago, celebrated Bangladeshi singer Salma unveiled a poignant new song exploring the theme of heartbreak. Titled “Emon Bhalobasha Chaina” (I Don’t Want Such Love), the song was penned by Anurup Aich, composed by Sharif Al Deen, and musically arranged by Shafkat Hridoy. Following the completion of its musical production, the accompanying music video was directed by prolific video director Soumitra Ghosh Imon. The track was officially released a few days ago through Sangeeta Music and has already begun resonating with audiences.

Speaking about the song, Salma said:

“This folk-inspired track captures the essence of pain and longing. Set in the melancholic afternoons of late spring, it narrates the story of a woman whose heart has been broken after loving and trusting deeply. The song conveys the sentiment of a repeatedly hurt soul, hesitant to embrace love again. Singing a heartbreak ballad after such a long time was an emotionally moving experience for me, but I was confident that it would connect with listeners. The early feedback has been encouraging, and I believe the song’s popularity will grow further over time.”

In recent months, Salma has released several other songs that have also struck a chord with listeners. Among them is “Dil Diwana”, released by Rangon Music, written by Jamal Hossain and composed by Akash Mahmud. Another track currently generating significant buzz is “Bondhu Mayar Jadu Jane”, written by Tanvir Ahmed, composed by Ruman Dewan, featuring vocal collaboration with Shaheen Rana.
