Sabrina Carpenter has secured six nominations for the 2026 Grammy Awards.
The “Manchild” singer has been recognised in the categories of Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Music Video. Carpenter also received six nominations at the 2025 ceremony.
The 26-year-old Grammy winner released her seventh album, Man’s Best Friend, earlier this year. The 12-track pop album is a natural follow-up to Carpenter’s 2024 release, Short N’ Sweet, which was noted for its steamy and occasionally risqué tracks and earned her first Grammy Award. Man’s Best Friend topped the Billboard 200 Albums Chart and was widely considered a strong contender for this year’s nominations.
The album’s pre-release single, “Manchild,” reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100, giving Carpenter her second No. 1 hit. The track, a playful critique of “stupid, no-good men,” combines Carpenter’s trademark cheeky and witty lyrics, including the memorable line, “why so sexy if so dumb.” She co-wrote the song with her Short N’ Sweet collaborators Amy Allen and Jack Antonoff, both of whom also earned multiple nominations this year.
At the 2025 Grammys, Carpenter delivered two of her biggest hits from 2024. She opened with a jazzy, old Hollywood-inspired rendition of “Espresso,” before dramatically removing her black sequined suit to reveal a baby-blue, bejewelled bodysuit, ramping up the energy for the track. She later added a matching feathered robe for “Please Please Please” and concluded with a reprise of “Espresso.”
Carpenter’s profile soared last summer following the release of “Espresso” from Short N’ Sweet. The single and the album earned her two Grammy Awards in February, for Best Pop Solo Performance with “Espresso” and Best Pop Vocal Album. While “Espresso” did not reach No. 1 on the charts, it marked a significant turning point in Carpenter’s career, cementing her status as one of pop’s leading stars.
