Sabrina Carpenter hit a cheeky milestone during her fifth of six nights at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on 22nd November. The Short n’ Sweet tour reached its 69th concert, a fitting number for a tour known for its playful, risqué moments. As Carpenter sat on a heart-shaped stage, she excitedly announced to the crowd, “My friends wanted me to inform you: This is our 69th show,” prompting cheers from the audience.
Since the tour began in September 2024, Carpenter has delighted fans with suggestive moments and innuendo, such as her nightly “Juno” sex positions, playful references to “69,” and a quirky elevator counting up to “SC.” For the 69th show, Carpenter kicked things up a notch, performing the final number, “Espresso,” in sparkling blue go-go boots and a large Los Angeles Dodgers jersey featuring her name and the number 69.
In another fun tradition, Carpenter “arrested” a fan for being “too hot,” and for this show, the lucky (or unlucky) victim was actress Maya Rudolph. After some playful banter and compliments, Carpenter threw fuzzy pink handcuffs into the crowd to officially “lock” Rudolph down. Previous arrestees included SZA and the Fanning sisters.
The night featured a special setlist, including fan favourites and new songs from her upcoming albums. Carpenter returns to the Crypto.com Arena for the final night of the tour on Sunday, 23rd November.
