Popular Bangladeshi musician Pritom Hasan is set to captivate Australian audiences with his debut full-fledged music tour. The talented artist has arrived in Australia for the first time as part of his musical journey, and today, Sunday, 9 November, marks the start of his tour with a performance in Sydney.
Accompanied by his team, Pritom has already landed in Sydney. Although he has visited Australia previously for theatre shoots and other work, this will be his first-ever performance on stage as a musician in the country. The news of his debut concert has generated significant excitement among the Bangladeshi expatriates in Australia.
Pritom will be joined by his brother, the popular singer Protik Hasan, during his performances in Sydney and Melbourne, making the event even more special. This sibling duo’s presence is expected to add a unique charm to the performances. The tour, organised by Best of Bengal, has already seen the majority of tickets sold out for the concerts in all cities. Pritom shared on social media, “We are back on tour, and this time we’re visiting almost every major city in Australia – Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth.”
One of the organisers, Tanim Mannan, expressed his excitement, saying, “This concert series is like a time machine. Two brothers from two generations will perform together on one stage. We’ll be immersed in the nostalgia of Khalid Hasan Milu’s iconic songs like ‘Tumi Amar Praner Cheye Priyo’ and ‘Shei Meyeti Amake Bhalobashe Ki Na?’ and, in the very next moment, we’ll be grooving to Pritom’s chart-toppers like ‘Lage Ura Dhura’ and ‘Deora’, among others.”
The tour, which begins in Sydney, will continue throughout November, with performances scheduled as follows: 15 November in Melbourne, 16 November in Brisbane, 22 November in Adelaide, and wrapping up in Perth on 23 November. Pritom, the musical successor to Khalid Hasan Milu, is set to deliver an unforgettable experience to his fans across the country.
