Mehendi Hands Post Was Just for Song Promotion, Says Kona

Singer Kona recently shared two photos of her hands decorated with mehendi on social media on 3 and 4 December. Following this, rumours circulated suggesting she was preparing to marry again. However, Kona has clarified that the images were part of promotional activities for her new song ‘Mehendi’ and not related to her personal life or marriage.

Last Friday, it was confirmed that the photos were promotional material for the song, which was released that evening. Kona admitted that she had not anticipated the rumours would spread so quickly.

She told the media, “I shared photos from the shoot of my song titled ‘Mehendi’. My hands had mehendi, but it has nothing to do with my personal life or marriage. Many people called asking about it. Since the song was set to release the following day, everything would be clarified, so I remained silent.”

The lyrics were written by Bandhan and Jamshed Chowdhury. Vocals were provided by Kona and Nish. Music arrangement was done by Sanjoy, with video direction by Chandan Roy Chowdhury and Riaz Ali. Models included Sunerah, Maisha Nazia, Manjita Roy, among others, with Kona appearing in the video. Within 24 hours of its release on Kinetic Music’s YouTube channel, the video amassed nearly 2 million views.

Kona mentioned that she is currently engaged in her music projects. Recently, her first theme song for BKCSP was released. In November, her song ‘Bitor O Bahire’, composed by Fuad Al Muktaadir, was published. She is also collaborating on multiple songs with US-based singer Muzar, which will be released sequentially.
