UK electronic pop pioneers Ladytron are set to make a highly anticipated return to North America in 2026, following the announcement of their eighth studio album, Paradises, due for release on 20 March via Nettwerk. The band will embark on a five-date North American tour in late May and early June, bringing their signature synth-driven spectacle to Los Angeles, Berkeley, Seattle, Portland, and Denver.
The group, consisting of Helen Marnie, Daniel Hunt, and Mira Aroyo, have also unveiled a new single and music video, “Caught in the Blink of an Eye”, described by the band as a “Holiday Romance.” The track combines irresistibly catchy, bubblegum-pop hooks with a subtle, melancholic undercurrent, gradually building into lush, ghostly layers. The accompanying video, directed by Hunt himself, was filmed in São Paulo, Brazil, a city now recognised as a global nightlife capital.
This single follows earlier releases from Paradises, including the hypnotic “I Believe in You”, the tech-noir track “I See Red”, and the ethereal duet “Kingdom Undersea”.

Paradises marks Ladytron’s most dance-oriented record since Light & Magic (2002) and is regarded as a significant leap forward following Witching Hour (2005). Produced by Hunt and mixed by long-time collaborator Jim Abbiss—Grammy-winning producer of Adele’s debut—the 16-track album blends elements of tech primitivism, high-priestess disco, spectral soul, and Balearic noir. Recorded across Liverpool, São Paulo, Montrose, Dalston, and completed at London’s Dean Street Studios, Paradises is both a culmination of two decades of sonic experimentation and a joyous, reinvigorated return to the studio.
Helen Marnie remarked, “There was a buzz in the studio from day one. The process felt effortless, fun, and exciting, almost like a homecoming.” Mira Aroyo added, “We wanted to capture that first-wave energy from the late ’90s, when we had nothing to lose.” Hunt noted, “Despite our DJ origins, we’d never fully embraced disco—this was the itch we wanted to scratch. It’s fun, adventurous, and quintessentially Ladytron.”
With Paradises, Ladytron invite fans old and new to experience a world of luminous synths, rhythmic ingenuity, and emotional depth, proving that after more than twenty years, they remain at the forefront of electronic pop.
