Kim Kardashian Responds Playfully to Harsh All’s Fair Reviews

Kim Kardashian is taking the criticism of her new series All’s Fair in stride — and even having a little fun with it.

After reports surfaced that the Hulu drama opened with a zero per cent critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes (which, as of Thursday, had risen to five per cent from critics and 65 per cent from audiences), fans flooded social media with humorous reactions. One user commented, “Immediately pressed play,” while another added, “Critics realising their reviews of All’s Fair actually made people watch and love the show.”

Another viral meme read: “Some of the worst acting I’ve ever seen in my life, alongside the most predictable storylines and the most ridiculous styling. I’m obsessed — I need 14 seasons.”

Critics, however, were far less forgiving. The Hollywood Reporter’s TV critic Angie Han described the series as “brain dead,” writing, “Kardashian’s performance, stiff and affectless without a single authentic note, is exactly what the writing — also stiff and affectless without a single authentic note — merits. Her very presence, which succeeds at generating buzz and not much else, feels fitting for a show that seems to want not to be watched so much as mined for viral bits and pieces.”

Despite the scathing reviews, Kardashian has responded with humour. In a new Instagram post, she referenced the criticism while appearing to remove a previous illustration she had shared. The original hand-drawn image — also posted by her All’s Fair co-stars Glenn Close and Niecy Nash-Betts — depicted the show’s leading ladies gathered around a boiling pot labelled “Critic-bunny stew.”

Nash-Betts also joined in the fun, posting her own version of the image with the caption: “Thank you to all the fans of @allsfaironhulu for making us number one. The GOAT!”

While All’s Fair continues to divide opinion, it’s clear Kardashian isn’t letting the backlash dampen her enthusiasm — or her sense of humour.
