The festive season is officially here, and with it comes the joy of Christmas music. While classic tunes will always hold a special place, fresh seasonal releases are a welcome treat—and country singer Kat Luna has delivered just that.
The Latina country artist has released a brand-new original Christmas song, “Evergreen”, alongside two versions of the holiday favourite “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”, one in English and the other in Spanglish.
“Evergreen” is a heartwarming love song, perfect for a romantic evening by the fire, complete with mistletoe. Luna’s rich, warm vocals shine in both the original and the classic Christmas cover. The Spanglish rendition alternates between English and Spanish lyrics, reflecting Luna’s heritage as a first-generation Cuban American born in Miami. Her grandfather, fondly nicknamed the “Cuban Cowboy,” introduced her to a diverse range of musical influences, from country legend Toby Keith to Cuban icon Celia Cruz.
Previously part of the duo Kat & Alex, Luna made her solo debut at the Grand Ole Opry in February. Fans of her festive releases will also enjoy her Billboard-acclaimed debut EP, That Girl, which was released earlier this year and showcases her signature blend of country storytelling and heartfelt vocals.
With “Evergreen” and her fresh takes on holiday classics, Kat Luna is bringing warmth, love, and a touch of Cuban-American flair to this year’s Christmas season.
