Jamie Foxx and Ali Wong Among 2026 Grammy Nominees

Several Hollywood stars have been recognised in this year’s 68th annual Grammy Awards, with nominations announced by the Recording Academy on Friday.

Comedians feature prominently in the Best Comedy Album category. Jamie Foxx received a nomination for his Netflix special What Had Happened Was…, marking his tenth Grammy nod. Foxx previously won Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals in 2008 for his collaboration with T-Pain, Blame It.

Ali Wong earned her first Grammy nomination in the same category for her Netflix special Single Lady. Fellow comedian Nate Bargatze is also a first-time nominee for his Netflix special Your Friend, Nate Bargatze. Sarah Silverman joins the lineup with a nomination for her Netflix special PostMortem. Silverman has previously been nominated three times in this category and also received a nod for Best Spoken Word Album in 2011 for The Bedwetter. Completing the comedy album category is Bill Burr for his Hulu special Drop Dead Years, having previously been nominated in 2021 for his Netflix special Paper Tiger.

In the Best Spoken Word category, actor Omari Hardwick and singer Anthony Hamilton are nominated for their collaborative project Pages. They face competition from singer Marc Marcel (Black Shaman), musicians Saul Williams and Carlos Niño & Friends (Saul Williams Meets Carlos Niño & Friends At Treepeople), rapper Mad Skillz (Words for Days Vol. 1), and musician Queen Sheba (A Hurricane in Heels: Healed People Don’t Act Like That).

Actor Timothée Chalamet earned his first Grammy nomination in Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown. He competes alongside artists from F1 The Album, KPop Demon Hunters, and Sinners and Wicked. The latter two projects are also nominated in the Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media category, competing against scores from How to Train Your Dragon, Severance, and The Wild Robot.

Trevor Noah received his fourth Grammy nomination in the Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording category for his children’s book Into The Uncut Grass. He is joined by the Dalai Lama (Meditations: The Reflections of His Holiness The Dalai Lama) and Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson (Lovely One: A Memoir). Actress Kathy Garver is nominated for Elvis, Rocky & Me: The Carol Connors Story, and singer Fab Morvan earned a nod for You Know It’s True: The Real Story of Milli Vanilli.

The 68th Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+ on Sunday, 1 February, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
