In a ground-breaking concert, the renowned Bangladeshi rock icon James and Pakistan’s finest Sufi-rock singer Ali Azmat will perform together for the first time in Dhaka. Joining them on stage are two popular artists from different musical generations, Poonam and Madhubanti Chakraborty. The concert, titled ‘Legends Live in Dhaka’, is being organised by Assen Communication and State Media. It will be held on 14th November at the United Convention Centre in Dhaka.
Poonam, a rising star from the new generation, graduated in Music from Rabindra Bharati University after completing her undergraduate studies at Calcutta University. She is currently busy with stage shows and working on new songs. Her popular tracks include ‘Tomake Bhebe’, ‘Elore Boishakh’, and ‘Ami Tor Radha’. Recently, she won over audiences with her song in the film ‘Nadan’.
Madhubanti Chakraborty, who has received classical music training from Shantiniketan, is also a prominent name in the music scene. She is currently performing across various stages and has made waves with her popular track ‘Ami Toroi Hote Chai’. She is set to release a new song soon.
