South Korea’s prominent K-pop group Enhypen is entering a new chapter as member Heeseung has announced his decision to pursue a solo career. On Tuesday, Belift Lab, the group’s management label, confirmed the news through an official statement on social media. The label clarified that while Heeseung will embark on an independent path, the remaining six members will continue Enhypen’s group activities without interruption.
At 24 years old, Heeseung is currently preparing for his forthcoming solo album. Belift Lab commented, “After extensive discussions with all members, it became clear that Heeseung possesses a unique musical vision. We respect this vision and, after careful consideration, have concluded that this decision is in the best interests of both Heeseung and Enhypen’s future.”
Heeseung, who began his journey in 2020 through the competitive Korean reality series I-Land—which eventually formed Enhypen—shared his thoughts with fans on the platform Weverse:
“The past six years have been filled with countless memories, which remain the most treasured moments of my life. I will never forget them and will always support Enhypen.”
He continued, “This step is essential for my new music projects. I am working diligently and hope to present myself to fans in an even stronger form as soon as possible. The love from ENGENEs will always remain in my heart.”
Enhypen’s remaining members also expressed their support via social media, stating:
“We respect and support Heeseung’s new journey. Enhypen will continue stronger than ever and remain grateful for every moment.”
