Harry Styles’ ‘Aperture’ Tops Global 200

Harry Styles has claimed immediate success with his latest single “Aperture”, which has debuted at No. 1 on the Global 200 chart. This marks the British singer-songwriter’s second chart-topping entry on the Global 200, following “As It Was”, which began its 15-week reign at the top in 2022.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift continues her impressive run on the  Global Excl. U.S. chart, with her single “The Fate of Ophelia” holding the No. 1 position for a seventh consecutive week. The track initially debuted at the summit in October and has maintained its international popularity outside the United States.

The  Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts rank songs using streaming and sales data collected from over 200 territories worldwide, as compiled by Luminate. The Global 200 chart includes all worldwide data, while the Global Excl. U.S. chart excludes U.S. streams and sales. Chart positions are calculated using a weighted formula, which accounts for official streams on both subscription and ad-supported audio and video platforms, along with download sales from full-service digital music retailers. Sales from direct-to-consumer platforms are excluded from these calculations.

“Aperture”, the lead single from Styles’ upcoming fourth studio album Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, due for release on 6 March, achieved 51.3 million streams and 9,000 sales worldwide in the tracking week of 23–29 January following its release on 22 January.

On the Global 200 chart, Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” has slipped to No. 2 after six weeks at the top. Djo’s “End of Beginning” drops from 2 to 3, three weeks after becoming the singer-songwriter’s first chart leader. HUNTR/X’s “Golden” descends from 3 to 4 following 18 weeks at No. 1, and Olivia Dean’s “Man I Need” remains at No. 5 after previously peaking at No. 3.

Outside the U.S., “The Fate of Ophelia” continues to dominate the Global Excl. U.S. chart with 41.9 million streams (down 6%) and 4,000 sales (down 28%). “End of Beginning” holds steady at No. 2, while Styles’ “Aperture” debuts at No. 3 on this chart, marking his sixth top-10 entry and seventh overall appearance on the Global 200. “Golden” falls from 3 to 4, and RAYE’s “Where Is My Husband!” drops from No. 4 to No. 5.
