Eid Celebrations Unite Bangladeshi and Indian Artists

As Eid-ul-Fitr approaches, music lovers in Bangladesh and West Bengal are set to enjoy a collection of fresh songs that capture the festive spirit. This year, two notable collaborations between Bangladeshi and West Bengali artists are being released, bringing together celebrated voices and composers from both sides of the border.

Belal Khan and Nachiketa Chakraborty’s “Bhalo Theko”

The song “Bhalo Theko” has been composed by Bangladeshi musician Belal Khan and features the renowned Kolkata singer Nachiketa Chakraborty. The lyrics were penned by Kabir Bakul, while Shovon Roy handled the musical arrangement. The official music video, directed by Chandan Roy Chowdhury, stars models Tapas Roy Chowdhury and Prathama Das, and will be released on the Soundtek YouTube channel.

Reflecting on the collaboration, Nachiketa stated,
“I have sung to many tunes in Bangladesh, but this composition has a unique charm. A song leaves a lasting impression not only through its lyrics but also through its melody. I am confident that both the lyrics and the tune will resonate with listeners.”

Belal Khan added,
“Nachiketa is equally popular in both Bangla-speaking regions. The younger generation also connects with his songs. Composing for such a life-affirming artist was a delightful challenge. Director Chandan Roy Chowdhury has created an excellent video in harmony with the song’s message. I hope audiences enjoy both the music and visuals.”

Dilshad Nahar Kona and Akash Sen’s “Eid Esechhe”

Another highly anticipated release is “Eid Esechhe”, performed by Bangladeshi singer Dilshad Nahar Kona and West Bengali vocalist Akash Sen. Composed by Akash Sen with lyrics by Salahuddin Sagor and arranged musically by A.N. Farhad, the song captures the joyous essence of Eid. The music video, directed by B.K. Shaheen, highlights festive celebrations and the vibrant spirit of the holiday.

Kona remarked,
“This is entirely an Eid song. The video brings out the joy and festivities of Eid. Many listeners have already expressed their appreciation, and I believe this song will be cherished by everyone during the festival.”
